THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY AND THANKFUL
Happy birthday to my sweet, hard-working, funny honey!

I'M WONDERING...
...what kind of winter will we have. I saw a completely black Woolly bear caterpillar a few days ago. Woolly bear's are supposed to predict the severity of an upcoming winter. I've never seen one completely black. If the Woolly is right, winter will be a doozy!

This one predicts a rough start to the winter with  a long stretch of milder weather and a quick end.
Not so with MY Woolly! Photo Source

DEVOTIONAL

    1. I haven't seen any with brown. The first time ever. Usually they have some brown. Yikes. Last winter was bad enough!

  2. Love the picture of the leaves. Your cartoon made me laugh. Dinner is usually ready around here when the smoke alarm blares. The woolly bear photo not so much. I haven't seen many woolly bears around here...wonder what that means?? They may just be late though as our trees are all changing color late and finally this weekend supposed to peak with their color. Hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. Thanks, Jean! You too! Enjoy the peak foliage. We are past peak here for a couple of week. Leaves are all over the lawn and kayaks and vehicles. It's fun to walk through them. That rustle sound!

  4. I haven't seen any wooly worms yet! I hope your winter isn't to bad. I heard that it was supposed to be rough along the east coast. Time will tell. Your home always sounds so cozy.

    1. Thanks, Dawn, but in the winter the house is cold! :: shiver :: It's great in the summer months when the house is shaded and we're 10-15 degrees cooler than outside, but in the winter that cold surely hits us. We make do though - cozy blankets and cocoa!

    1. The pattern is for a baby blanket. I decided to almost double the dimensions for an adult size afghan for my son who keeps asking when it'll be finished. Almost!

    1. Thanks, Lucy! I found the yarn at my local Walmart when they discontinued it. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but thought an afghan would be nice. Although I wish I had ordered the colors a bit differently, my son loves it.
