1. Do you manage your own money or do you have a financial planner who helps in some way? Do those kinds of conversations stress you out? A lot or a little?
Nah, I do ALL my financial planning, including budgeting, saving and spending. It's not so hard when you keep these things simple, to a minimum.
2. The second week of October is Pet Peeve Week. Off the top of your head, share TWO of your current pet peeves.
People who arrive very late to planned activities without a call or an apology for making others wait. Everyone's time is valuable. Who doesn't have a cell these days to call and let you know they're running late?
3. What is one thing you'd like to learn right now, this very week if you could?
How to knit in a round! I have started to knit again, but I am bored with scarves and dish clothes. I want to create hats and socks!
4. How concerned are you about the recent health related news concerning Ebola? How about Enterovirus D68?
Not at this point. There seems to be some illness going around every year that the media hypes up. It's important to be cautious and continue washing hands, staying away from known sick people and living healthy, but worrying seems counter-productive.
5. Garfield, Nemo, or Tigger-your favorite orange cartoon character?
Tigger! Such a happy, bouncy, joyful character!
6. I'm going to see Gone Girl with my neighborhood book club this week. So often books made into film are disappointing. What's a book turned film you thought was well done, in that the casting was 'like you pictured' when you read the book, and the film plot remained mostly true to the book plot?
Oh. I don't think I can name a book-turned-into-a-movie that was even close to as good as the book. The movies lack character development, plot complexities and the satisfaction of a good read.
7. What is one story your family always tells about you?
Do I have to share? LOL Let's see...In the late 70s, I went through a "hippy phase" when I was about 8-9 years old. I did love those beads and bell-bottoms!

My hubby loved bell-bottoms and he says he misses them. I have started a meme on Mondays called Memory Monday and would love to have you join in. You have lots of wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteI'll try to join up on Monday! Thanks for the invite!
DeleteI remember the hippie phase from the late 70's...I really can't say I miss it. :)
ReplyDeleteLOL Me either! I don't even remember it, but the pictures are there to remind me...
DeleteI agree, there is no excuse for being late and yes they should call ! That must have been really cute for a 8-9 year old girl to go through a hippy stage. Like your random......
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure about cute. Unique? LOL
DeletePeople who arrive late are just rude and inconsiderate. I so identify with your Random Thought. I have been blessed with wonderful friends, the best of whom I married.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet to say about your wife!
DeleteI enjoyed some things about the hippie phase. That whole style did not hold up well : ) We are rolling quickly towards retirement so we needed a little help sorting out options once hubs does retire. There are a lot of tax implications depending on timing and where you live. I liked having someone lay it all out for me. Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting, Joyce! Ugh - taxes!
