Random 5 Ramblings: Friday

The Pebble Pond

1. It's 11:17am and I am still in my PJs, the ones with cows jumping over the moon and pink and white stars splattered all over them.

2. It rained earlier. I should have known as I have 2 loads of laundry hanging on the line to, er, dry. Extra rinse, right?

3. But the sun is out now! I am hoping to have a fire in our fire pit tonight to roast hot dogs and marshmallows with the kids and their friend T. It's always a fun time...and summer is slipping away.

4. In the meantime I'm going to make some zucchini bread from this recipe. Chocolate chips?

5. And read some more Elin Hildebrand's The Blue Bistro once I've gotten dressed for the day and caught up on some household stuff.

What are you up to?

  1. The same thing happens to me when I leave laundry on the line. Foolproof weather prediction. LOL

  2. It is! It can be sunny and perfect drying weather...and most time it'll suddenly shower sometime after the clothes are mostly dry! LOL

  5. I always add a few tablespoons of chocolate chips IN the zucchini bread plus a few on TOP of the bread! Makes the kids think it is a real treat! :)

  6. Same here, Laurie! I used 1 bag of semi sweet chips for 4 loaves of zucchini bread and one of banana. It's just enough chocolate to think it's dessert!

  8. A few things—
Love late pj days. Rain is the best "extra rinse"!
Hope the hot dogs and time were awesome.
Um— always say yes to chocolate chips ;)
    And lastly, how's the book?

  9. Hi Tina! Thanks for stopping by! Well...the fire wouldn't stay hot from damp wood, but we got those dogs roasted! LOL Everything is better with chocolate chips, right? The books is a great summer read...
