Where did January go? Poof! Soon, it'll be February! I remember sitting in class, 5th grade actually, thinking how S-L-O-W time went. School took forever and a day to reach dismissal. Now? Days sometime fly by like minutes! But we're getting closer to spring...

WHAT I'M DOING RIGHT NOW and AROUND THE HOUSE
I'm in comfy, cozy sweats waiting for Sam to finish cooking his pancake breakfast sandwich so we can start homeschooling. I've vacuumed and swept the floors, gathered trash, and thought about doing the pile of dirty dishes.

WHAT'S ON TV
"Mork and Mindy"! I found Retro TV shows on Hulu. I never watched "Mork and Mindy" as a child. I was just young enough that it wasn't a show I was interested in, but wasn't that Robin Williams a talent. :: sigh ::

FROM THE CRAFT BASKET
I finished my ripple blanket with fans in Red Heart Super Saver Frosted Green, Aran and White. (Free pattern here.) It measures 40x46. I don't often save my creations for myself, but THIS time I am! With the yarn scraps, I'm going to make a cute, striped owl pillow. (Free pattern here.)

I'm sharing my crocheting creations over at Lucy Blossom Crafts (Mondays), Frontier Dreams (Tuesdays), Small Things (Wednesdays), Oombawka Design (Wednesdays), and Lunamon Design (Wednesdays).

I don't remember much either. I remember watching reruns when I was a little older, and when I saw it on Hulu I decided some wacky humor was jus the thing to crochet too! LOL
DeleteYour knitted afghan is gorgeous. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Paula, you too!
DeleteOH, a new Nicholas Sparks I have not yet read. And I just have to say your afghan is beautiful. I love the pink and gray combo.
ReplyDeleteEr. It's the only Sparks I haven't even borrowed...and started to read. LOL I know he writes many and some are movies, but I've never found these kinds of books that appealing. I'm odd, I guess. But so far this one is pretty good...
DeleteBeautiful colours for your afghan, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lucy! Glad you stopped by!
DeleteOh I so agree with you about time, I'm sure the time thief is working overtime. Stay warm and don't worry about the dishes.
ReplyDeleteI didn't, but those dishes seem to multiply like crazy when you ignore them! ;)
DeleteOh! I remember Mork and Mindy! Glad you get to see it now. I saw both of those pageturners at the store today! They both looked good. I was just killing time while I waited for my prescriptions to be filled, so browsed the books. Love the colors on your ripples!
ReplyDeleteRetro TV is great! When I can I like watching Three's Company, Little House on the Prairie, Facts of Life...Those late 70s and early 80s shows.
DeleteI remember sitting in class, watching the clock CRAWL. UGH, lol. How different it is now! You've inspired me, I want to read The Story of Beautiful Girl! My husband bought it for me off Amazon! Thank you for the idea for a great read!
ReplyDeleteI think you'll enjoy it!
DeleteBeautiful afghan :) Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Sandra! You too!
DeleteI used to love Mork and Mindy! Love your blanket - and so wish I could crochet to make an owl pillow.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to have the owl pillow completed for next Monday's journal, but we will see! Some days and weeks are busier than others...and I'm low on fiber filling. LOL
DeleteNaNu NaNu! I remember watching that. We have a local channel that shows retro television and I'll live it up sometimes watching things like Happy Days and Fantasy Island. Hope you're having a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteOh, I had forgotten about Happy Days! I remember watching that too! And the spin-off. What was that called?
DeleteI remember Mork and Mindy the first time around, so funny. Love your blanket the colours are calming
ReplyDeleteI think so too! I love the muted tones in this blanket! And cute little owl pillow to match will be perfect!
